Community Living Camp

Our college conducted a five days living camp for B.Ed. students as a part of the University Curriculam. It was a memorable experience. There were conducted different classes for us. Mainly there were four groups for the smooth way of our camp. Camp helped me in different ways. I understood how to conduct camp. What are the measurements should be taken for the camp. Really it can an awesome.

Equipping oneself to equipping others was the theme of our camp. Anto Antony MP was Inaugurated in first section of our camp. Camp inaugurated by Kunju Koshy Paul. Camp flag hosted by college manager. Fr. Antony Chethipuzha. There were many programes and classes were conducted for the upliftment of B.Ed. student. The classes helped me a lot. 5 days living camp end with the Neju's class. Neju is a handicapped person.

TOPIC: To Identify the learning disability of students.

Learning disability is a neurological disorder. In simple terms, a learning disability results from a difference in the way a person's brain is wired. Children with learning disabilities are as smart or smarter than their peers. But they may have difficulty reading, writing, spelling, reasoning, recalling and organizing information in left to figure things out by themselves or if taught in conventional ways.

Simply put children and adults with learning disabilities see, hear and understand things difficulty. This can lead trouble with learning new information and skills and putting them to use. The most common types of learning disabilities involve problems with reading, writing, reasoning, listening and speaking. The major cause of learning disabilities are hyperactivity, impulsivity, perceptual motor impairment, disorder of memory and thinking, emotional liability, academic difficulties co-ordination problems, language deficits, disorders of attention, equivocal neurological signs, disorders of attention leading difficulties, poor motor abilities, written language difficulties, oral language difficulties, social skills deficits, psychological process deficities etc. There are 3 major types of learning disabilities.

1. Dyslexia: Difficulty with leading Problems reading, writing, spelling and speaking these are the symptoms of dyslexia.
2. Dyscalulia: Difficulty with Mathematics. Problem doing maths problems, understanding time using money these are the symptoms of discalculia.
3. Dysgraphia: Difficulty with writing problems with handwriting, spelling organizing ideas these are the symptoms of disgraphia.

In, conclusion it should be evident that children with learning disability are truly a heterogeneous group. By knowing what to looks for and being able to identify the common characteristics, you may be able to help in the identification diagnosis and assessment of a child with a suspected learning disability, ultimately depending on where a students problems lie, understanding these characteristics or learning styles can lead the significant improvement in the academic performance social awareness and overall self-esteem of a child with learning disability in your class room.
